Novick M. Susan. "Tables Bounty: Keeping it Local". The New York Times. March 21, 2009. November 14, 2008.

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest national holidays. In this article it describes the preparations people take to make their thanksgiving meals on Long Island, NY. It tells how people buy the items they need to make their meals at local markets. Doing this apparently strengthens the local economy by keeping the money in the community. It also responsible land development by supporting local farms and farmers. They buy all their items locally including the turkey. With the ingredients they all make very big really good thanksgiving feasts.
